I have never owned a GPS system before so I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on one just to find out it didn’t make a huge difference with my driving. I’m not terrible with directions, I just thought it would be easier if I didn’t have to do all the planning myself.
The Mio C230 DigiWalker has proven to be well worth the money I paid on it. I like being able to customize my route with options like choosing between the fastest, shortest, or most economical route. I think it’s cool how if I have a bunch of places to go I can put them all in and it will find the fastest way to hit all of them along the way.
Along with adding in extra spots, I can make it avoid certain areas. There is a little bridge not far from my house that they tore down and are rebuilding. It would be very annoying if for the next 3 months while they finished it I couldn’t use half the routes my unit told me to because it kept wanting to go over the bridge.
The only reason I gave this a 4.5 instead of a 5 is because I don’t like how it only has about a million POI’s. I compared with some other high end units that had up to 6 million.
